The core idea of the project is the further development of an AI-based quality assistant for the quality assessment of heated element butt welding processes, which are used in particular for laying plastic pipes for gas and water. The assistant is to be integrated into the mobile welding equipment and allow welding process quality assessment directly during pipe laying and welding on the construction site.
