SKZ Interview with Sika on Bond Testing

SKZ participates in online event: Technical contribution to the "2023 Door and Window Innovation Event" of the company Sika
On November 28, 2023, the SKZ Testing division took part in the Sika online event as part of a technical contribution. Simon Fischer, Group Leader System/Special Testing, was able to provide an insight into the testing of adhesive bonds in a discussion with Martin Schmider, Senior Project Leader PUR Hotmelts at Sika.
An essential part of the test is described in section E (adhesives for laminating PVC-U window and door profiles) of RAL-GZ 716. Here, a peel test is used to determine the adhesion of the film to the base body before and after exposure to hydrolysis/thermolysis.
