DAkkS relies on the expertise of technical and system assessors as well as technical experts in its accreditation procedures. Technical experts assess, in particular, the technical competence of conformity assessment bodies based on the applicable accreditation standard.
With the appointment of Christian Winkler, SKZ will make its expertise even more readily available to the overarching accreditation infrastructure in the future.
Christian Winkler has more than 20 years of professional experience in various areas of conformity assessment and understands the requirements of accredited bodies from both a technical and a practical perspective.
This broad experience gives him a comprehensive view of the requirements for competence, processes, and quality assurance within various conformity assessment bodies.
“Serving as a technical expert gives me the opportunity to contribute my many years of practical experience and technical knowledge to a broader context. At the same time, the exchange with other experts and conformity assessment bodies is a valuable opportunity to continuously develop my own perspective,” explains Christian Winkler.

In its accreditation procedures, DAkkS collaborates not only with its own staff but also with external technical assessors and technical experts from public and private institutions. According to DAkkS, approximately 1,000 system and technical assessors, as well as technical experts, are currently involved in national and international accreditation procedures.
For SKZ, this appointment is therefore more than just a personal recognition of Christian Winkler’s professional competence. It is also an expression of the organization’s commitment to contributing its expertise to the quality infrastructure beyond its immediate testing, inspection, and certification activities.
“As an accredited testing, inspection, and certification organization, the SKZ has many years of practical experience with the requirements of conformity assessment. I am very pleased that Christian Winkler will be able to contribute this expertise in the future as a technical expert for DAkkS. In this way, we are making an active contribution to maintaining the accreditation landscape and bringing our industry expertise to benefit all stakeholders. I wish Christian Winkler every success in his new role,” said Dr. Thomas Hochrein, Managing Director at SKZ.
