Description
When using recyclates instead of virgin material in the SG sector, there is a great deal of uncertainty, especially among smaller companies, as the necessary expertise for the use, adaptation and design of a filtration jet in the application is lacking. For this reason, the project plan is to substantiate the current design based on experience through simulations. Specifically, the aim is to analyse the filter setting of the current product together with an SG filter manufacturer, 2 simulation partners and an SG experts, to use the results for simulations and to optimise the filter through various adjustments to the flow behaviour / shape, .... The main product of the project is to provide the simulation developers with a tool for carrying out two-phase simulations, which the filter manufacturer and the filter designer can also use or pass on to customers. For simulation purposes, some compounds are produced at the SKZ from virgin material + foreign particles (recycled imitations) to be used by the SG partner for data generation. In addition, the SKZ is involved in material characterisations (HKR, MFR) and the creation of an analytical model in the project.
