SKZ once again recognizes aquatherm GmbH as a “Premium Education Partner”
The SKZ Plastics Center has once again named aquatherm GmbH a “Premium Education Partner.” This distinction recognizes companies that demonstrate a special commitment to providing practical and sustainable training for their employees in the plastics industry.

Focus on Continuous Professional Development
The SKZ has presented the award annually since 2020, and has also recognized achievements in the research sector since 2024. For 2025, aquatherm will receive the award in the field of quality management. The company had already been honored in the Materials, Compounding & Extrusion sector in 2024.
Practical Professional Development as a Shared Focus
The collaboration centers on the development of practice-oriented training concepts for in-house continuing education. Together, SKZ and aquatherm developed a customized training program for quality assurance that is specifically tailored to the company’s requirements.
Particularly noteworthy is a jointly conducted in-house training course for plastics quality inspectors, which received consistently positive feedback from participants. “The high practical relevance and the open professional exchange have led to very good feedback,” says Ruben Schlutter, Group Leader for Quality Management at SKZ.
Wide range of training courses utilized
In addition to training in the area of quality assurance, aquatherm takes advantage of a wide range of continuing education courses offered by the SKZ—including training for testing equipment officers, on EU microplastics regulations, and on the carbon footprint. According to Schlutter, this underscores the company’s high regard for strategic continuing education.
The collaboration is also viewed positively from the company’s perspective. “We greatly appreciate the wide range of training courses and their strong practical relevance. The content integrates well into our daily work, and the rapid technical support is also a major advantage,” says Marco Lenneper, Head of Quality Assurance at aquatherm.
