The SKZ Plastics Center, based in Horb am Neckar, is actively involved in social projects in the region. As part of a sponsorship program, SKZ supported PIT – Professionelles Intensiv Pflege TEAM GbR in Freudenstadt with the purchase of a vehicle for outpatient care.

The new vehicle significantly expands the care facility's range of services. It provides greater flexibility in everyday nursing and domestic tasks and improves patient care in the home environment. At the same time, it noticeably reduces the burden on family caregivers. The aim of outpatient care is to maintain the independence of those in need of care and enable them to live in familiar surroundings.
The outpatient care provided by the PIT team is tailored to the individual needs of the people being cared for. This supports their participation in social life in their own homes for as long as possible and prevents social isolation. The familiar environment with family, friends, and neighbors is preserved—an important factor for quality of life and well-being.
With this sponsorship, SKZ is underscoring its social commitment and its connection to the region. “As the SKZ location in Horb, we feel a special connection to the region and the people here. By supporting PIT, we want to help ensure that people in need of care can receive reliable and professional care,” says Jürgen Kern, branch office manager at the SKZ location in Horb.
