Through the intensive partnership with Cybus, a leading provider of industrial IoT and digital infrastructure, the SKZ is creating new synergies and driving forward digitalization in the plastics industry in a targeted manner. The common goal is to research technologies and test their practical application in order to enable intelligent and data-driven production - the SKZ uses the Connectware software from Cybus GmbH for this purpose.
The software serves the SKZ as the backbone of the digital infrastructure in a large number of research projects. Without a professional software solution, the effort required to record the process data from the SKZ's machines and systems with their diverse interfaces and data formats would be an enormous challenge.
"Thanks to Connectware, we can record our data much more efficiently and concentrate fully on analyzing and using this data. Data transparency and data-driven decisions - such as machine learning for quality optimization - offer enormous potential for the plastics industry. With Cybus GmbH, we have a strong partner at our side to transfer innovative research results directly into industrial practice," explains Christoph Kugler, Group Manager Digitalization at SKZ.
Jonas Schramm, Head of Industry Solutions at Cybus GmbH, is also delighted: "The award and the close cooperation with the SKZ confirm our joint ambition to shape digitalization in the plastics industry in a sustainable way. Our goal is to seamlessly integrate digital technologies into existing production processes - with measurable added value for the industry: higher efficiency, better data availability and long-term competitive advantages".
With this partnership, the SKZ and Cybus are providing significant impetus for the digital future of the plastics industry and demonstrating how technological progress can be achieved through innovative research and targeted collaboration.
The SKZ awards the “Premium Partner” research award to innovative companies whose intensive cooperation with the Würzburg institute is to be highlighted and particularly honored.
