The field trip focused on the diverse applications of plastics as well as key manufacturing technologies in the industry. During a guided tour of the SKZ’s technical facilities and laboratories, the participants gained vivid insights into modern processing techniques. This allowed them to directly link theoretical concepts from their classes to real-world applications in industry and research.
“In plastics engineering in particular, the close integration of theory and practice is crucial. That’s why we’re very happy to support such field trips,” emphasizes Mathias Ruckdeschel, Senior Trainer at the SKZ. “Our goal is to impart practical knowledge and inspire young professionals to explore the diverse opportunities in this industry.”
Insights into the Industry and Professional Practice
The aspiring technicians took the opportunity to get a close-up look at modern manufacturing processes and learn about current developments in the plastics industry. At the same time, the visit strengthened the exchange between educational institutions and industrial practice.
Through initiatives like these, the SKZ is actively committed to promoting the next generation of talent and makes an important contribution to the transfer of knowledge between schools, continuing education, and industry.
