EnvisionTEC and SKZ develop printed moulds

EnvisionTEC (ET) and SKZ announce the cooperation agreement signed in December 2019 to further optimise the 3D-Printing of mould inserts for injection moulding with ET machine and material to process highly demanding thermoplastics.

ET and SKZ have been working together since 2017. Successfully they introduced to the plastic injection moulding industry a solution that allows the user to 3D-print  their designed insert in a short time and with minimum cost allowing to validate characteristics, avoid rework, protect investments and preserve schedules .This solution includes ET 3D Printer, ET material and post processing. With this equipment, the user could produce mould inserts of small and medium size that can process a wide range of technical thermoplastics. Due to the high speed of Digital Light Processing (DLP-) Printing it is possible to start producing the first injected parts at the same day the insert design is completed.

„We are excited about the second phase of our successful collaboration with SKZ. The first phase brought to the market the capability to produce inserts with our printers in a few hours, as well saving money and time to the manufacturing industry. During the second phase we are looking for solutions for the special requirements of the industry“, said Sobhi Aris, Managing Director of EnvisionTEC GmbH.
