Being one of the major challenges of our time, sustainable development has gained importance among companies, their customers and suppliers. Topics such as CO₂-emissions, climate protection or energy and resource prices rank high on the agenda and lead to increasing expectations towards companies: What do they contribute to a sustainable development of economy, environment and society?

The SKZ working group “Sustainability” helps finding answers to these questions. Based on scientific research, we develop practical solutions for products and processes of the plastics industry. In this we support eco-efficient decision-making.

Due to the increasing significance of the topic, the working group has been steadily expanded. Thus, we can combine knowledge and experience from economics, environmental science and engineering in our projects.

Depending on the task, we furthermore work closely with other SKZ groups.
