Does the modern bridge building need composite materials? Composite materials - When and where could they be used appropriately, where is their application just a pure hobby and where irreplaceable for the feasibility of particular outlines? Are they cost-effective looking at the life time of a building? We would like to give you some arguments to help you to answer these questions. Outstanding representatives of bridge building will explain the state of the building-culture of solid and steel bridge constructions. This will be our starting point. The daring but proven view of executing companies and planning engineers shows us the practical possibilities in bridge-building with composites in the following. It shall be explained, on what is to pay attention to and how problems at the approval can be solved.
