Sport Surfaces and Floor Coverings
The following products, among others, are tested and evaluated on the basis of quality tests in the lab, in-situ control inspections (surveying) as well as expert reports:

• Elastic floor coverings and floor coatings
• Synthetic lawn systems
• Synthetic surfaces for outdoor facilities (running tracks   and small play courts)
• Sports hall surfaces
• Elastic coatings
• Falling mats and protective floor coverings
• Wall pads and other sports hall fittings (e.g. glazing   elements)
• Equipment (balls, rackets)

Testing and product certification are carried out in accordance with the following regulations and specifications stipulated by the associations mentioned hereafter:

• DIN and DIN EN
• ASTM
• International Hockey Federation (FIH)
• International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)
• DIN CERTCO
• GÜP Bayern

Typical tests carried out to evaluate the quality and the efficiency of the protective functions of sport surfaces as well as to evaluate their technological properties include:

• Determination of shock-absorbing properties (force   reduction, HIC measure, standard deformation)
• Resistance to ball impacts
• Slip resistance
• Bounce of a ball
• Abrasion tests and wear-and tear analysis
• Deformation tests
• Resistance to rolling loads
• Water permeability
• Determination of the dimensions, weight per unit of area
  and evenness
• Tensile and compression tests
• Dynamic (alternating) stresses
• Compressive deformation module
• Ageing tests, e. g. artificial weathering (XENO, QUV, SUN   tests)
• Environmental assessment
• Characterization of the materials used (IR spectroscopy,   DSC analysis, AAS)
• Combustion analysis
