The properties of the materials used for the production of plastic profiles for windows are tested in accordance with the specifications stipulated in the testing standards and regulations. The most important standards are for example RAL-GZ 716/1 part I and EN 12608. • Sealing profiles for windows and doors Testing and external inspection of sealing profiles also include the testing of the sealing materials used. These tests are usually carried out with extruded flat strips and include the analysis of mechanical properties as well as tests for the resistance to artificial weathering, for example.
