Establishment The SKZ in Halle is a continuation of the further training activities in plastics technology offered by the central institute for welding technology (ZIS) by the SKZ. Today we are a key service provider specialising in adult education. Focus - Welding in vessel and apparatus construction - Buried plastic piping construction - Fibre composite plastics - Bonding technology Courses and in-house training Semi-finished processing: you can obtain qualifications in accordance with DVS and DVGW regulations. Certification As regards the pressure vessel directive (EC directive 97/23/EC) we certify personnel in accordance with DVS 2212 (plastics welding), DVS 2220 (laminating) and DVS 2221 (bonding) for the execution of permanent material connections to pressure vessels and assemblies covered by the EC directive 97/23/EC. Testing We have been authorised by the district heat work group (AGFW) as a testing centre for testing of coupling fitters in district heating construction since 1988. Furthermore, the SKZ is an accredited technical organisation pursuant to Section 22 VAwS and can approve and monitor technical companies pursuant to Section 19 I WHG. Competence centre for fibre composite technology The office has traditionally maintained training facilities for the manual processing of fibre reinforced plastics. Around 90% of all laminators tested under the DVS regulation 2200 are now trained here.
